All-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee of the Nepali national team has been retained by the UAE’s IL T20 League franchise Gulf Giants. Dipendra is among the 13 players retained by the Gulf Giants for the upcoming season.
Along with Airee, the Gulf Giants have announced the retention of James Vince, Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, Ayaan Khan, Zuhair Zubair, Blessing Muzarabani, Gerhard Erasmus, Jamie Smith, Richard Gleeson, Rehan Ahmed, Jordan Cox, and Jamie Overton.
Although Airee was part of the Gulf Giants in the previous season, he did not get to play any matches. The upcoming season of IL T20 is set to start on January 11, 2025.
Previously, two seasons of this T20 league were completed in 2023 and 2024. The Gulf Giants were the champions in the first season of 2023, while MI Emirates became the champions in 2024. The teams in this league have been formed by IPL franchise owners. The Gulf Giants are owned by the Adani Group, the owner of the IPL team Gujarat Giants.
