Three Nepali players are set to play in the Global T20 Canada 2024. Along with leg-spinner Sandeep Lamichhane, all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee and Rohit Paudel will also participate.
Nepal’s captain Rohit will play for the Toronto Nationals. In the draft held on Friday, Toronto signed Rohit in the 11th round for $12,500. This is Rohit’s first international franchise contract. Similarly, two Nepali players have been signed by the Vancouver Knights.
Sandeep is the Nepali player with the most franchise cricket appearances. Following him, Airee, who has played the second most franchise cricket from Nepal, is also in the same team. Vancouver signed Sandeep for $30,000. He was picked in the eighth round of the draft. Likewise, Airee was signed for $17,500 in the ninth round of the draft. The Global T20 Canada is set to start on July 25.
